Located in Bozeman on North Church Avenue, 5 blocks from Main Street

This place was awesome. All of the recommendations for eating and outdoor activities really helped with us not knowing the area. The use of your snowshoes gave us an extra day on the trails. This was the best vacation my husband and I have had in over the last 10 years. Thank you so much for making it a second honeymoon for us.
Red and Jodi, January 2011

"Bohart Guest House is a perfect home away from home. My husband and I have done a fair amount of traveling, and we've never felt more comfortable in a vacation home. The owner's attention to detail and eclectic decorating style made it especially enjoyable! The Cottage is centrally located in Bozeman, within easy walking distance of many shops and restaurants, and yet it's on a quiet, residential street. The hot tub was an added bonus. I strongly recommend Bohart Guest House to anyone who visits Big Sky country!"                      - Rebecca, Saratoga Springs, NY

"Hi Paul--Just wanted to thank you again for a wonderful visit!  All my years there, and I didn't know about you and your rentals, but I'm glad I do now."      - Janelle, Boise, ID

Historic Bohart Guest House   On the national historic register this cottage-style house is like coming home to Grandma's.  With 11 years of guest house operation built in, this house is one of the longest running rentals in town.  It is also a high tech green home with a renewable energy water heating system utilizing solar hot water, state of the art vegetable oil-fired boiler, and high efficiency gas water heater for backup.  This system heats all the hot water used in the house, the hot water baseboard heating system, and even the hot tub.  Using locally harvested, used vegetable oil for biofuel to heat the house and green energy tags for all the electricity results in a carbon neutral home.

The garage is also home to vegetable oil filtering, which I use in place of diesel fuel and heating oil.  See
link above.

"Some friends and I came up in early January for an outing filled with skiing and good times. The cabin was way better than the pictures show. If anyone is thinking about taking a trip to Montana or the Bozeman area, the Lucky Dog Lodge is the place to stay. Everything was awesome about it. The pricing was also exceptional. Hope you can have a good time there like I did!"                       Eric Backson, Fargo, ND

The most common comment we receive about the Lodge is that its size is much larger than expected.  These photos try to capture the size and grandeur of the place, but nothing seems to adequately describe it or prepare our guests for the shock they experience the first time they set foot in the Lodge.  You just have to come and see for yourself.  Be sure to check out the reviews our guests have posted, too!  Read the article from the Bozeman Daily Chronicle detailing the history and construction of the Lucky Dog Lodge

"Paul,
This is just a little note of thanks. We thoroughly enjoyed our nights (July 08) at the Lucky Dog Lodge. The lodge, yard and river access were all tremendous. We will definitely keep the Lucky Dog Lodge in mind for future gatherings."

Just across Bozeman Creek from Bogart Park (public outdoor pool, large park, playground, & farmer's market), 3 blocks to downtown, very quiet street

"The house is warm and comfortable. Very spacious with enough supplies for almost anything!  .....  We had a fantastic time. We have rented before out in the Paradise Valley but it was fun being close to town for the shoppers and the young adults. Sledding close by, skating in the park. Plus, it was beautiful staying inside and watching the snow outside!  It was perfect  :)"    Vicki, Thanksgiving 2010

"There are 3 words that we feel describe this cottage perfectly. Quaint, cozy and convenient. We felt like we were tucked away far from town yet we were just a short walk to downtown Bozeman. The futon bed was honestly extremely plush and comfortable!! How comfortable the futon bed was going to be, was something we were a bit worried about prior to our arrival. For us this was a great place to stay to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. A very cozy and romantic cottage."

Thank you for making our stay in Bozeman so enjoyable. The Legends townhome was spotless and fully furnished when we arrived even including bath, kitchen and laundry products. Appliances are high end and the decor is very well done. Bozeman Cottage did an excellent job of communicating with us prior to our arrival from North Carolina and everything about the property was exactly as advertised. Bozeman is a beautiful town and we thoroughly enjoy visiting our son and his family who live in Bozeman. The Farmers Market and Music on Main were typical of events that make Bozeman so unique. I also enjoyed the golf courses in and around Bozeman. We look forward to our next visit and will certainly contact Bozeman Cottage for our future reservations..   July 2011

Hi Paul, We have had a wonderful time!  The loft is beautiful and spacious-- perfect for our needs.  Below is a quick little review that we typed up for y'all.  I really hope to return to Bozeman and stay with Richard and Mary Ann again!

We had wonderful eight-day stay at Mary Ann and Richard’s studio loft.  The studio loft is equipped with everything you could need.  It is like a hotel with a fully stocked kitchen and much more personality and charm.  Because pots and pans, plates, silverware, and even herbs and spices are at your disposal, you have the choice to stay in and cook, or enjoy Bozeman’s vibrant restaurant scene.  The studio loft is only a short 5 minute walk to Main St., the heart of Bozeman’s historic downtown.  Mary Ann and Richard were happy to offer recommendations for things to do in the Bozeman area, places to eat, and even places to buy groceries.  They were accommodating and accessible hosts, but took a lot of care to make sure we had privacy.  When we return to the Bozeman area, we hope to stay here again.
Thanks again,
Lisbeth  July 2011

I miss the sound of the Gallatin running by, seeing the deer down by the river in the morning, sipping a cold beer in the hot tub after skiing, and cooking out on the grill most nights! It was a wonderful haven for the kids to visit for dinners each night and let us grandparents cuddle with the baby while they ate dinner in peace! Thanks for making this place available and full of all the comforts. We'll be back!"  Sandy  Feb 2009

1 hour west of Bozeman on Harrison Lake
6500 acres to yourself

"What a wonderful time we had at Harrison Lake Cabin.  So peaceful & relaxing, just what we needed."  July 2010

Harrison Lake Ranch   If you're looking for solitude and a beautiful lake environment near Bozeman, this may be the place.  A prime location for bird migrations and canoeing through the willows in the lake, this full restored cabin makes a great place for retreats from everyday life.
It comes fully equipped with a modern kitchen, antique furniture, dry goods, wood stove for cool nights, and a bbq grill for cooking up the grassfed organic meats you'll find in the freezer - each reservation gets 1 lb of local grassfed beyond-organic burger!  Also available for order are breads and rolls from locally grown wheat.
The bedroom has a new queen size bed and twin bunkbeds.  The bathroom comes with a shower and composting toilet, and there is a nice, new, authentic 2-seat outhouse for the real Montana experience.
The ranch does have cattle operations in the corrals and barn near the cabin at certain times of the year.  Most activity takes place in the morning and evening, and we let you know what's happening so you can plan accordingly - people are welcome to observe!

"Your house had wonderful surprises! The kitchen was a great place for us to prepare our holiday meals. The piano was such a treat. Something for everyone. Great skiing, the gym, the yard, the porch swing. It is truly a work of art." Thank you for sharing.  January '11

"Thank you, we loved your home. We gathered from New Hampshire, Arkansas, Maryland, Denmark and Bozeman to celebrate an 80th birthday and 55th wedding anniversary. Wht a wonderful place to come together. We enjoyed white water rafting, floating the Madison, Norris Hot Springs, the Farmers; Market, Music on Main, and great meals together."  July '10

"We had a wonderful time in your beautiful home. We all enjoyed the views, wildlife, basketball and Bozeman. A great homebase for three generations." May '10

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Spring Creek house. It was so comfortable and spacious and the kids really loved the big yard! The house was very well set up with everything we could possibly need and the instructions on everything was a huge help. We've stayed in several houses over the past few summers and it's little things like that that make a big difference in being comfortable in a strange house. Please give the owners our best regards and thank you Paul, for all your help in making our vacation a really nice one!"

"Hi Paul:
I wanted to tell you that the Spring Creek house was wonderful in every way! It met our needs perfectly and we were so impressed by the thoughtfulness of the owners with their notes and graciousness. So thanks a lot for helping us have a very successful, fun celebration in Bozeman last weekend. We told lots of people to keep it in mind for their family get-togethers."       -  Donna, Dec 2004

We came from all over and arrived to a huge, well-laid-out place. It was easy to find everything that we needed. After getting over the size, we settled in and made good use of the games. Everyone was thrilled with the sports court and we spent quite a bit of time down there. It really was a great place and we'd love to come back again. This place has an awesome view!   February 2009

Spring Creek House

Beautifully furnished five-bedroom home with a private setting yet still just minutes from downtown, MSU, and the Museum of the Rockies.  The location is convenient for professors visiting MSU and for business people with intermittent housing needs in the Bozeman area, as well as for family groups on vacation.  The house is located in one of Bozeman's few R-1 neighborhoods where regulations preclude rentals more than once a month.  Rates are  comparable to or less than similar listings, and mulit-month discounts are available.  See rates page.

The house is comfortable and spacious, with great views and an awesome acre of a backyard, with a bridge over a small spring-fed creek. Many of the rooms lead out to the expansive deck, with plantings in season, and mountain views.

The house sleeps 12+ people, but it also works well for 2 people using just the entry level. There are five bedrooms, on two levels, with additional futon and sofa bed sleeping. (Use link for full details.) Cribs and toddler equipment are on hand. All linens and towels are provided.

There’s even an indoor sports court, for racquetball/handball, with a basketball hoop and hooks for a badminton/volleyball net (Equipment on hand).  The kitchen is extremely well-equipped, and includes a double oven. The house has a gas grill, a second refrigerator, washer/dryer, wireless internet access, two digital cable TVs, DVDs, VCRs, piano, a wood-burning fireplace with wood supply, a mud room, a large garage and plenty of off-street parking.

The house sits on the edge of a lovely, quiet neighborhood and has a shallow spring creek running through the backyard, with flower gardens, a raspberry patch, and outdoor seating with benches and a creekside table. There’s plenty of room for family games of croquet, badminton, volleyball, and Frisbee.

"This was just a lovely place for us to gather for a family reunion. We appreciated so much your attention to detail and the availability of basic kitchen supplies and appliances ... Even with the rainy (and snowy) weather we had plenty of room to spread out for privacy and also come together for family gatherings. Thank you so much. This will be added to our wonderful vacation memories that family members have all carried since childhood. Cathy"    June 2008
