HARRISON LAKE RANCH

Unmatched in open space and privacy, the Harrison Lake Ranch occupies 6500 acres of prime Montana prairie.  With views of the Spanish Peaks Wilderness to the south, the Tobacco Root Mountains to the west, and the Bridger Mountains to the northeast, you can hike, bike or ride horseback through vast unfenced hills, bring a canoe to wander or boat through the willows full of migratory and local birds alongside the lake, or just relax at the fully renovated homesteader cabin.  The cabin is very comfortable in a rustic, restored style with all new kitchen appliances, a new bathroom with a high-tech composting toilet, antique furniture and beautiful hardwood floors.  Cook with ease with the kitchen supplies provided, including dry goods and spices.  The root cellar is stocked with homemade local (frozen) organic meats and food which works on a 'pay for what you use' basis - each reservation receives a complimentary pound of beef burger raised by the owners.  Also available are breads (loaf, bun, sticky bun) and cookies made with homegrown wheat.  Just fill out the order form in the rental agreement.
The cellar also has a full size washer/dryer.  See Sabo Ranch web site for more information about how they raise beef cattle, dairy cows, chickens, pigs, and vegetables.

Help preserve and develop a heritage breed of cattle in Montana.  The Devon breed, first brought to North America by the original white settlers in Massachusetts, was also the breed that pulled many of the wagon trains to Montana.  The Sabo Devons, raised as 100% grassfed beef following organic principles, find their home base just down the road towards Pony, on the Sabo home ranch.  The following frozen meats are available to order for your weekend at the Sabo Ranch Cabin at Harrison Lake."
